I. STATE SELECTION COMMITTEE
At the
Summer Clinic each region selects a representative from each conference to
serve a one year term on
the All-State selection
committee. The President will appoint one person to
be the general chairperson. In addition,
the President will appoint a chair for each
conference. The Committee will meet at
the state track meet to determine the All-State
selections.
An All-State team of up to 50
athletes from each conference 1A, 2A, 3A, 4A, 5A and 6A will be selected.
The team will not be selected
by individual events.
II. ASSOCIATION COACHES
A. Athletes may be nominated by member coaches only.
B. All on-line nominations must be submitted to
TGCA no later than Monday
prior to the state track meet.
C. Member coaches may nominate as many athletes as they wish.
D. Times and distances must be included. Times and distances from meets only
will be accepted. If asked you must be able to verify times and distances. No
times or distances from practices will be accepted.
The general chairperson will accept the final selections from each conference chair and
submit the final selections to the Executive Director for verification.
IV. EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
After verification of the selections, the Executive Director will prepare a certificate for
each athlete. The All-State teams will also be posted on the TGCa website.
